I am an active person both in the gym and outdoors. The band is in near perfect condition after nearly 6 months of use. It is great in forms of function and being durable as wear and tear. It still almost seems brand new. The con: This band soaks up all sorts of liquids, to include sweat. After a couple of workouts the band starting to stink, so every 2 weeks or so I have a routine where I soak the band and watch in oxyclean for about an hour, wash with a detergent and rinse. conclusion: Its helpful, but the band isn't broken, frayed or even showing signs of wear.
